A first exhibition dedicated to 70 works contained within “The Museum that is not there” (the virtual museum created by the Foundation and launched last December 2) and three exhibitions created to make the general public aware of the richness of the artistic heritage and the history of the first thirty years of the De Fornaris Foundation.
The Foundation presents and illustrates on the same platform three decades of acquisitions of works, begun in 1982 and entrusted by statute on loan to GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Turin. There are thousands of paintings, sculptures, installations and graphic sheets ranging from the end of the eighteenth century to the contemporary, signed by Hayez to Morbelli and Pellizza from Volpedo, from de Chirico to de Pisis and Morandi, up to Casorati, Burri, Vedova and again Carol Rama, Paolini, Merz, Pistoletto, Penone. The birth and growth of the collections and the exhibitions in which they were shown to the public are told here.
Approximately 164 works from the immense collection can be consulted on the Google Arts & Culture platform, with references to the foundation’s website for further information through the dedicated search engine in the artists and works section, the latter also #madeby PRCmultimedia :))
